P A T T E R N S 

Room 2 have been looking at Patterns in Maths this week.  We found lots of patterns around the classroom then we made some for our friends to try and continue.  

Please ask your child to make some patterns at home for you to continue!  

Turtle Safe

Last Thursday it was the New Zealand ShakeOut. We practised Drop, Cover, Hold so we know what to do if there is an earthquake.

Wheels Day!

The sun came out for some fun on wheels at lunchtime!

Dance Presentation

This term Ali (Evie's mum)  has been coming in on a Thursday for Interchange and teaching us all about DANCE.  To finish off the lessons we presented our Bruno Mars dance to our parents and the rest of the school.

Swan Plant Planting

Today Maria Romero from the Butterfly Musketeers, came to Garden Club to help us to grow some swan plant seedlings so next year there are more swan plants around for the caterpillars to munch on.


Room 2 were allowed to help plant some extra seedlings this afternoon.

Here we are filling the punnets with potting mix.  

We carefully put one seed in each section of the punnet.

We had to lightly cover the seed with some soil.

The last job was to water the seeds.

Now we have to make sure that the seeds get plenty of sunshine and water.

First Tennis Lesson

Today the sun was shining for our first tennis lesson.

SLIME TIME

Today for our Kitchen Science unit we all made our own Slime.

We used Cornflour, Shampoo, Water and Food Colouring.

We had to do lots of mixing and then we kneaded the slime to made it react to form the slime.
