Catholic Schools Day at Christ the King School

We had a lot of fun celebrating Catholic Schools Day with the children from St Patricks and Christ the King schools.

Gathering Leaf Data

On Monday afternoon Rooms 1, 2 and 3 went to Malvern Park to count leaves.
In our Autumn Inquiry we are learning to gather data  (how many leaves are there on the ground under, near and far away from a tree) and then think about why there were different numbers of leaves in the different places.

Assembly Sharing

On Friday at assembly we shared the song we had been learning for New Zealand Sign Language Week. May is also New Zealand Music Month so we sang a song by Anika Moa.

Autumn Leaves!

Autumn is a great season for having fun in the leaves!

Beebots

Today we used the Beebots for maths. We had to programme them and then see if they could get through the maze. We are learning to use words like: 1/4 turn, left, right, forwards to give directions.
We worked with our Learning Buddies.
