Activites with Year 10 students from Hillview Christian School

 On Friday Year 10 students came to our school. They had different activities to do with us. Two of the activities we enjoyed were Art (painting) and Rakau (stick games).

How Long is 1 Metre?

In maths we have been learning about measurement. We found out how long a metre is and then we made a metre measuring strip. We measured a lot of lines on the court with a buddy.

Sharing Our Writing

On Thursday afternoon we visited Room 1. We read our Hedgehog stories to a buddy. The Room 1 children enjoyed listening to our stories and they loved our illustrations. We felt very proud.

Back at school

Room 2 is loving being back at school. It is great to see our friends again. 

This week for Art, we learnt about the Spanish artist Joan Miro. We looked at lots of his art works...

then we tried to copy some of his symbols, drawings and patterns.  We practised on whiteboards today.






Next time we're going to draw on paper.  Mrs Andrew was very proud of our amazing artistic skills.
