Back at school

Room 2 is loving being back at school. It is great to see our friends again. 

This week for Art, we learnt about the Spanish artist Joan Miro. We looked at lots of his art works...

then we tried to copy some of his symbols, drawings and patterns.  We practised on whiteboards today.






Next time we're going to draw on paper.  Mrs Andrew was very proud of our amazing artistic skills.

Drawings of Mary with baby Jesus

Thank you to the children who drew these beautiful pictures of Mary holding baby Jesus, in response to Friday's RE prayer activity on Seesaw.  I was so impressed I just had to share them!

At home with Noah-Grace

Part 2 

This week Noah-Grace had an online call with some friends that live in Thailand. They have a pet hedgehog called "Love".  Love is an African Pygmy hedgehog which is smaller than the ones we see here in New Zealand.

Noah-Grace told her friend all the interesting things that she had learnt about hedgehogs and found out that Love, the hedgehog, likes to eat bugs - especially mealworms.

Maybe Noah-Grace could ask her mum and dad if she could have a pet hedgehog to live at her house!

Part 1 

Noah-Grace made a hopscotch on her driveway and has been doing some amazing jumping and hopping!

Lily In Isolation

Juliette in Isolation

Juliette has had a lot of fun using her blanket as a cape while she sings "Let it go" from Frozen.

By the time Isolation is over Juliette will know every word to the song and every move to the dance.

James in Isolation

Part 3 

Now we are in Alert level 3, James has managed a spot of local fishing.  Here he is with his lure rod trying to catch a Kahawai or a Yellow Eyed Mullet.  Great to see James - we know how much you love fishing. 

Part 2 

This week James has been enjoying doing some Science Experiments.  He added boiling water to the Pebbles and watched the colours all run.  There was lots of talking about primary and secondary colours.  Can you see where James made the letter J with the pebbles?

What a fun way to learn James.  Did you eat any Pebbles?

James has been very busy learning in Isolation.
