Green- fingered Gardeners

Our "Hairy Harrys" and our Little Gardens are all growing well on the sunny windowsills in Room 2.

The beans are outside in the garden and we are still waiting for them to come up.

All Saints Day

Everyone had a lovely time at Elmwood Park with St Patrick's School to celebrate All Saints Day.

Thank you to Oliver, Pia and Thanmaya for being Saints!

It was lovely to catch up with old friends.

Growing Beans

We planted bean seeds on Monday afternoon. We put a measuring stick in the pot. whose bean will grow the tallest? Mrs Brazier has put the pots outside in the garden We will have to remember to check them!

"Hairy Harrys"

This afternoon we planted our Hairy Harrys with Mrs Brazier. We are learning about what plants need so that they grow.

We wonder how long it will take for the seeds to sprout and whose will grow first!

Tennis Lessons

We have enjoyed our tennis lessons this week. Luckily the weather was fine.

A Visit from Fr Alister

This morning Fr Alister came to talk to us about Baptism. He showed us the special oils that are used - one smelled of roses! He also brought his own baptismal candle.

He put on his alb - a white garment that priests wear to remind them of their baptism.

The Fire Engine Visit

After lunch the fire fighters brought the fire engine to school. They showed us all the tools and equipment that is on the fire engine.

Everyone was going to have a turn spraying the hose and looking inside the fire engine.
Unfortunately, they got a call to go to a house fire. They quickly put on their gear and left in a hurry!
